With the included software, a virtual serial interface can be installed on the PC. Each software supporting a serial connection to the S5 PLC can therefore use the ACCON-S5-LAN. Furthermore, the ACCON-S5-LAN supports the RFC 1006 (ISO on TCP) protocol as well as the protocol to connect a TCP-compliant Ethernet CP, e.g. CP 1430 TCP or a product which is compatible with it. Thus, the ACCON-S5-LAN can be used with all programs supporting these protocols without additional driver.
