WinCC OA relies on ACCON-AGLink

Simatic WinCC Open Architecture is one of the most successful Scada systems worldwide. For years, ETM Professional Control GmbH has relied on a cooperative partnership with DELTA LOGIC and its communication library ACCON-AGLink for product development. The library enables the connection of Siemens controllers (S7-300 to 1500) for Windows, Linux and other operating systems. The control system can be accessed via various communication paths from a wide range of programming languages, including optimized data blocks.

ETM decided to use ACCON-AGLink because the existing protocol was to be integrated into the current software with as few changes as possible using the communication library. With less effort to modify, the product is available faster and the customers can use it sooner.
