Software Tools for PC-PLC Communication
Besides communication software and dataloggers there are other helpful software tools around the PC-PLC communication in the area of S5 and S7 controllers. It is not always necessary or possible to work with a hardware PLC. As an alternative, PLCs are also available in pure software form. With ACCONtrol S7 Win32/SIM a Soft-PLC is available, which is command conform to an S7-CPU416 from Siemens.
With ACCON S7 Backup you can quickly and easily backup your S7 programs on the PC and they can also be restored to the PLC if required. A direct working with the S7 project format as well as an automatic data backup of the PLC program are also possible with it. ACCON PG enables you to program S5 PLCs in IL, LD and FBD, as well as to work directly with S5D files. The proven S5 programming system supports all PLCs from AG 90U to AG 155U.
But also for beginners in the field of PLC programming, with ProMod Pro DELTA LOGIC offers a plant simulation software with a wide variety of scenarios to learn PLC programming based on simulated real examples. In this way, the various plant models can be operated and observed directly on the PC, without lengthy preparation or wiring of hardware models.
ACCONtrol is a soft PLC. It simulates an S7 PLC system on a PC, with which S7 programs can run. Useful e.g. for development and debugging of STEP7 controller programs or for function test execution.
With ACCON-PG you can easily program your S5 in IL, LD or FBD (AWL, KOP and FUP). It works directly with S5D files, CPU specific instruction checking, as well as an extensive and context sensitive help.
ACCON-S7-Backup makes backing up and restoring S7 programs very easy and convenient. It directly uses the S7 project format and also supports the automated backup of your PLC program.
