Making older control systems fit for Industry 4.0
Delta Logic develops solutions for industrial communication that help Industry 4.0 companies to save time and money: Machines and controllers can be integrated into modern infrastructure even if they still use Profibus or similar older standards. Such a retrofit is possible with the ACCON Netlink PRO compact network adapter and software for standardized interfaces, such as ACCON OPC UA Server.

Cooperative integration of old assets in WinCC OA

Retrofit for Handhelds
Until now, old machines based on SINUMERIK 810D pl or 840D pl could not simply be reused if the Siemens PHG teach pendant or HT6 broke down. However, with the Roth Operator Panel (ROP), there is a manual operating device with which such machines can be retrofitted. The special feature here is that the ROP replaces 1:1 the handheld programming unit that is no longer available. This means that these machines can continue to be operated in a fast, simple manner without having to carry out a complete modernization. The ROP's access to the SINUMERIK machine tool controllers is made possible by the ACCON-AGLink communication software.

Roth Steuerungstechnik has developed the Roth Operator Panel (ROP), a handheld operating device that can be retrofitted to machines based on Sinumerik 810/840D Powerline controllers. The panel replaces 1:1 the PHG teach pendant, which is no longer available, and the HT6 from Siemens. Not least due to the integrated communication software ACCON-AGLink from DELTA LOGIC, it represents a modern alternative with guaranteed spare parts availability and easier operation.

ACCON-AGLink and WinCC OA - S5 controllers fit for Industry 4.0
The Simatic WinCC OA IOT suite enables the subsequent digitization of existing machines and plants. Here, proven software based on Simatic WinCC Open Architecture is combined with reliable, industrial-grade hardware and intuitive apps for their monitoring, control and visualization. ETM Professional Control GmbH has relied on DELTA LOGIC and its communication library ACCON-AGLink since 2004. In this way, the integration of old S5 controllers into the Siemens Industrial OS operating system, which is based on Linux, could be successfully implemented. Smooth data exchange on RaspberryPI with WinCC OA
In the context of digitalization for Industry 4.0, the trend is also moving towards smaller projects with few data points. There, Raspberry PI is often used as the central data basis. Simatic WinCC Open Architecture, as a neutral Scada system, can now exchange data with these small devices without restrictions thanks to the powerful ACCON-AGLink communication library. ACCON-AGLink and WinCC OA - Partnership for product development
Simatic WinCC Open Architecture is one of the most successful Scada systems worldwide. For years, ETM Professional Control GmbH has relied on a cooperative partnership with DELTA LOGIC and its communication library ACCON-AGLink for product development. The library enables the connection of Siemens controllers (S7-300 to 1500) for Windows, Linux and other operating systems. The control system can be accessed via various communication paths from a wide range of programming languages, including optimized data blocks. (published in etz - 11/2022)
